Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Panjatan Products Trading Pvt. Ltd., operating MyYoda("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, used for login and account communication. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google; we never see your Google password.
• WhatsApp number: your WhatsApp phone number, verified when you send us a verification message on WhatsApp. We take the number from that message, as reported by WhatsApp, together with the date you agreed to receive WhatsApp messages.
• Child profile information: a child's name, age, grade, board, and school (or that they are homeschooled) with its city and state, entered by you to personalise worksheets. This is provided and controlled by the parent/guardian account holder.
• Usage data: worksheets generated, topics selected, and feedback ratings, used to tailor future worksheet difficulty.
• App notifications: if you use our Android or iOS app and allow notifications, a notification token for your device, so we can tell you when a worksheet is ready or your plan is ending. It is removed when you log out, and you can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
• Location signal: a country code detected from your request, used only to determine your local currency for plan pricing.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Razorpay — we never receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.

2. Children's data

MyYoda is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and children do not hold their own accounts. Child profile details are entered and managed solely by the parent/guardian, who can edit or delete them at any time from the Profile page.

3. How we use your information

• To generate and personalise worksheets and syllabi.
• To process plan purchases and maintain your plan entitlement.
• To send account-related emails (sign-up confirmation, password resets, invoices).
• To send WhatsApp messages about your account and your child's worksheets — for example subscription confirmations, reminders to rate worksheets, progress updates — and news about new MyYoda features.
• To improve and troubleshoot the service.

4. WhatsApp messaging

A verified WhatsApp number and your agreement to receive WhatsApp messages from us are required to use MyYoda (see our Terms of Service). WhatsApp messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms, which processes your number and the messages we send you under its own terms and privacy policy. We don't share your number with anyone else, and we never use it for anything other than messages from MyYoda.

You can stop WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP, and turn them back on by replying START. Because WhatsApp messaging is a condition of the service, you'll be asked to turn it back on the next time you use the app.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and worksheet history for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion.

Worksheets, answer keys and other content produced through MyYoda are our intellectual property (see section 7 of our Terms & Conditions). When you delete a child, a subject or your account, the worksheets concerned are removed from your account, but we keep them with your child's name removed — from the worksheet, its answer key and any feedback notes. What we keep with them is the school, board, grade, subject, difficulty level and rating. Kept worksheets are not linked to your account or your child.

Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires, even after your account is deleted.

6. Your rights

You can access, edit, or delete your child profiles at any time from the app. To request deletion of your account and associated data, use Delete account under Account in our app, our account deletion page, or email us at contactus@panjatanproducts.in. Deletion is as described in section 5.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, access-controlled database policies) to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
